Team Sarcoma/North Carolina (Duke University)

Leelavati Narlikar, a PhD student at Duke University (who had been one of Liddy's summer interns at Bell Labs) organized a Team Sarcoma/North Carolina at Duke University as part of Team Sarcoma 2006. When the event was over, she wrote to us, "The NC virtual team sarcoma organized a "5K run/walk for a cure" on July 4th 2006, on the Duke Golf Trail in Durham, NC. There were a total of 30 participants, mostly students, faculty, and staff from Duke University. The event was very well received and all participants are eagerly looking forward to the event next year."
