Team Sarcoma/Northwest Sarcoma Foundation (NWSF)

Melissa Hill organized a Team Sarcoma/NWSF as part of Team Sarcoma 2006. She put together a group of 17 cyclists who biked in the Portland, Oregon area. After the event, she wrote, "Everyone rode varying distances. We made a loop around Sauvie Island, some doing two loops (24 miles). I rode 20 miles with some friends. Dick Hartung is shown talking in most of the pictures. He lost his daughter to osteosarcoma in 1997. He introduced me and I talked about sarcoma and our son, Jackson, the NWSF and the Liddy Shriver Sarcoma Initiative and your international biking event. And I passed out the flyers to everyone in attendance. We had beautiful weather. light traffic, and everyone got to visit with one another. A great biking evening!"
